Merry Christmas!
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Chicken Soup for the Soul.......
As we come to the middle of Advent I present you with another quote and another mini....
First the quote......
--Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Now the mini.....chicken noodle soup...
Carrots, chicken celery and noodles....great for a cold day in Iowa!
May we in this busy time of year, take the time to slow down and turn our eyes and hearts to the reason for the season, may we turn our eyes toward the Ultimate.

Advent........
I thought I would give you a cake and a quote for the beginning of Advent....!
The quote-
"A prison cell, in which one waits, hopes....and is completely dependent on the fact that the door of freedom has to be opened from the outside, is not a bad picture of Advent." Dietrich Bonhoeffer 1943.....
The cake-
Chocolate Marble Cake with chocolate glaze..........
May yours eyes be on the "opener of your prison cell" this Advent season !

Strawberry-Chocolate Ripple!
Ice Cream Stop By Shel Silverstein
The circus train made an ice cream stop
At the fifty-two flavor ice cream stand.
The animals all got off the train
And walked right up to the ice cream man.
“I’ll take Vanilla,” yelled the gorilla.
“I’ll take Chocolate,” shouted the ocelot.
“I’ll take Strawberry,” chirped the canary.
“Rocky Road,” croaked the toad
“Lemon and Lime,” growled the lion.
Said the ice cream man, “Til I see a dime,
You’ll get no ice cream of mine.”
Then the animals snarled and screeched and growled
And whinnied and whimpered and hooted and howled
And gobbled up the whole ice cream stand,
All fifty-two flavors
(fifty-three with the ice cream man).

I would like three scoops of Strawberry-Chocolate Ripple please...
How about a cherry for the top?
Some animal cookies would go so well with the ice cream....
Thanks for checking our my creations! Mini Blessings, Kim
Bakin' Bread
Bread, bread and more bread! I love to make bread, especially this bread, it is gluten free, sugar free and calorie free! (I can dream) Anyway, this bread is making it's way to the east coast tomorrow. Hope you like it because I liked making it! I will leave you with a bread quote (I have no idea who the author is...sorry) "Love doesn't just sit there, like a stone; it has to be made, like bread, remade all the time, made new."

Sunday Dinner
Okay, does anyone really make a big Sunday dinner anymore? Well, if I was a good cook (um, not even close), or maybe if I just enjoyed cooking (I don't) my meals on Sunday would look something like this.....
carrots.....
with a recipe for a great life!..................
I guess for now I will settle for a mini Sunday dinner made of clay!

Kimmi Lou !
This last summer my daughter and I decided to enter my mini shop in the Iowa State Fair. It took Layel and I three hours to set it up again once we got to the fair! (I don't glue my things in place because I love to move things around!) Anyway, the plan was to set it up and to take pictures while we worked and then of the finished shop.......but....yep, you guessed it, I forgot the camera. I decided I would take a few pictures here at home and show you the results from the fair! We had such fun putting it all together and meeting all the other people with beautiful entries! So here are some pictures of the shop and a picture of the ribbons we brought home~
It was very hard to photograph the shop, I ended up not being able to take a picture of the shop as a whole...

Fall Has Arrived!
Fall is here! Cooler weather, changing leaves and my favorite part of fall...visits to the apple orchard! Nothing can beat the rolling hills, blue skies, hack-rack rides, warm apple turnovers and the best for last...picking apples! It is a tradition, we have gone to the same orchard for years and years, I even have a painting of it in my kitchen! This little apple board is made for the season, I used a little bit of nature for the actual "board" .....I like the primitive look of it. Anyway, the board will be for sale on my CDHM gallery, hope you like it! (I had a really hard time taking pics of it for some reason..... I could not get the color or detail of the apples like I wanted to! Oh well, here they are anyway!)
