Sunday Dinner

Okay, does anyone really make a big Sunday dinner anymore?  Well, if I was a good cook (um, not even close), or maybe if I just enjoyed cooking (I don't) my meals on Sunday would look something like this.....

roast, potatoes..

                                                                                    carrots.....

with a recipe for a great life!..................

I guess for now I will settle for a mini Sunday dinner made of clay!

Kimmi Lou !

This last summer my daughter and I decided to enter my mini shop in the Iowa State Fair.  It took Layel and I three hours to set it up again once we got to the fair!  (I don't glue my things in place because I love to move things around!)  Anyway, the plan was to set it up and to take pictures while we worked and then of the finished shop.......but....yep, you guessed it, I forgot the camera.  I decided I would take a few pictures here at home and show you the results from the fair!  We had such fun putting it all together and meeting all the other people with beautiful entries!  So here are some pictures of the shop  and a picture of the ribbons we brought home~
It was very hard to photograph the shop, I ended up not being able to take a picture of the shop as a whole...

Fall Has Arrived!

Fall is here!  Cooler weather, changing leaves and my favorite part of fall...visits to the apple orchard!  Nothing can beat the rolling hills, blue skies, hack-rack rides, warm apple turnovers and the best for last...picking apples!  It is a tradition, we have gone to the same orchard for years and years, I even have a painting of it in my kitchen!   This little apple board is made for the season,  I used a little bit of nature for the actual "board" .....I like the primitive look of it.  Anyway, the board will be for sale on my CDHM gallery, hope you like it!   (I had a really hard time taking pics of it for some reason.....  I could not get the color or detail of the apples like I wanted to! Oh well, here they are anyway!)

Not so "mini" Mini!

Here are pictures of the building of our miniature house that has been our backyard project for the last month.  It is a playhouse for Layel and Liberty!  It is not quite completed, it needs a coat of paint, trim pieces, and landscaping all around that still needs to be done.  It may be a while, it has been so hot and humid, I haven't been able to paint!  The inside is about done, hot pink floor (picked out by the 8 year old!) and white walls almost all in place!  Time for a tea-party!

Taa Daa.........the (almost )  finished project!  Mini Blessings, Kim
