Miriam's Room...............

I am a very lucky woman, I have tons of beautiful  nephews and nieces! This is a little scene  I made for my sweet niece Miriam for her second birthday.....okay, it is way past her birthday but better late than never, right?!  I  added a few things that are in her "real" room  like the  Winnie the Pooh books she received for a birthday present and the the clock, and her favorite cat, Skippy John Jones!  I am overdoing it with the pictures but I wanted to show the details.  I love you, Miriam, you are a huge blessing from God!

Butterflies!

Here are a couple of butterfly cages and a butterfly net I made for a scene I am making and for my daughter's dollhouse. They were very hard to photograph....so the pics aren't great..... but it is what it is!!!!!  Have a terrific weekend everyone!!!!

The cages were hard to hold and not smoosh, but I guess real ones are a little smooshy too!

Birdhouses!

The warm and sun has finally shown themselves this week in Iowa!  It went from the 40s to 88 almost overnight!    The girls and I decided to throw a blanket in the yard, sit in the sun and craft.....besides sunburns, and a water fight with the hose, this is what we accomplished....
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Bird houses.......

 and more birdhouses......

finally.........more birdhouses!

Vintage Pictures...

Here are a few more vintage photos.

I scanned both sides so they would be exact copies of the originals.....well, except for their "mini-ness"

Hope you have a sunny weekend!  Mini Blessings, Kim

Love Letters....

I really enjoy working with old pictures and letters.....this is a little scene I made for Layel and Liberty's doll house.  It is a real letter and envelope that my father wrote to my mother before they were married, he was away in the military.  The pictures are of my mom and dad......  I thought it would be neat to have the real thing in one-twelfth!

My mom (in the pic) is actually looking at the picture of my dad that I have framed in this scene .......

Winnie the Pooh

Some of my favorite books  are the original Winnie the Pooh books.... I made these for a scene I am working on.  I love A.A. Milne no matter what size the Pooh Bear books are!  Have a blessed weekend.....He is Risen!!!

Think Spring!

Spring came and teased us last week, it  lasted just long enough for my Magnolia tree to bud and my flowers to pop their little heads out of the ground!  Come on Spring!

Butterfly, Butterfly
Butterfly, butterfly, whence do you come?
I know not, I ask not, I never had home.
Butterfly, butterfly, where do you go?
Where the sun shines, and where the buds grow.

Butterfly Cookies

and how about some Baby Bunny Biscuits?
Have a beautiful week!   Mini Blessings,   Kim

Busy and Blessed!

Real life has taken me away from creating minis lately...I have 4 kids going in 4 different directions!  I have one actually on a plane as I type to do missionary work in Africa, I have a girl who turns the big 13 tomorrow, I have an 8 year old I am finishing up school with (I home school) and last but now least a 22 year old that is busy getting a photography business going!  Whew! I am busy and blessed!   I have finally started a new project this week...I will post as I go if I can!  I can't wait to go the show in Chicago in a couple of weeks!  If you are going let me know I would love to meet you in person!  We need name tags or something!!!  For now here are some cute  black and white pictures I "shabbied" up!  Hope to see some of you in Chicago!
